Youhave product A, B and C. A has a 20% concentration, B has a 15%concentration and C has 30% concentration. How much of each productis needed to make a 6 ounce mixture with 25% concentration?

Sinceproduct A has 20% concentration, product B has 15% concentration, andproduct C has 30% concentration, it is expected that the mixture willhave a concentration of 65% comprised of the mixture of the threeproducts (20% + 15% + 30%)

ForProduct A, total concentration in the mixture will be 20/65

Forproduct B, total concentration in the mixture will be 15/65

Forproduct C, total concentration in the mixture will be 30/65

However,this is for 100% of the mixture. Since the required concentration is25% and the required number of ounces is 6, then the total ounces forproducts A,B, and C will be as follows

ForProduct A, the total quantity required in making 6 ounces of themixture having 25% concentration would be:

20/65* 25/100 * 6

=6/13

=0.462

ForProduct B, the total quantity required in making 6 ounces of themixture having 25% concentration would be:

15/65* 25/100 * 6

=9/26

=0.346

ForProduct C, the total quantity required in making 6 ounces of themixture having 25% concentration would be:

30/65* 25/100 * 6

=18/26
